Le Rive: this is how the steepest slopes of our Conegliano-Valdobbiadene hills are called.
The grapes for our Rive, carefully selected, come from a pleasant hill, of morainic origin, located north of the Castle of San Salvatore, the hill of Collalto. The vineyard, of more than one hectare, is located right on the hilltop and is surrounded by a lovely grove that protects it. On this hill, more than a thousand years ago, the ancestors of Princess Isabella settled, building their first castle and from it they took their name, later becoming the Counts of Collalto. Today, as then, the Collalto family still presides over these hills with the same great love. This is why we wanted to call our Rive di Collalto "ISABELLA": a tribute to Princess Isabella and her family who, for a thousand years, have been able to preserve these lands intact.
Visually the colour has refined pale straw yellow tones, the appearance is very lively, bright, brilliant, aristocratic I would say: the bubbles are very fine and persistent. The nose, very captivating, is distinguished by elegance and finesse, well defined and precise. It highlights floral, fruity, fresh scents, with notes that lead back to mineral sensations; there are fragrant, yeast scents, but well blended, not dominant, also considering the long aging. On the palate, the immediate pleasantness and preservability are indisputable, the rich, fine and creamy effervescence with an unexpected level of softness, amiability and taste-olfactory balance. The intensity and persistence are excellent, with a persuasive finish.
Ideal for the whole meal, especially with fish dishes, fried fish and traditional dishes such as nervetti, fried brains or bigoli in sauce. We recommend serving at a temperature of 6-8°C.
