Cartizze is the toponym that identifies an area of 106 hectares in the municipality of Valdobbiadene. The most widespread hypothesis about the origin of the name is that it derives from "gardizze", a term in the local dialect that indicates the trellises used to over-ripen the grapes. Distributed in the hamlets of Saccol, San Pietro di Barbozza and Santo Stefano, Cartizze has a young, fruity aroma and delicate taste. An excellent aperitif, it also accompanies light desserts.
