The Duca di Dolle winery, housed in an ancient building inside the Rolle di Cison di Valmarino Estate (Treviso), is the place where our grapes, the result of care and attention from the vineyard to the harvest, are transformed into Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G., the highest expression of the Glera grape variety, the authentic symbol of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene territory. Maximum attention to the quality of the raw material, minimum interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar, a continuous research towards the most environmentally and man-friendly cultivation techniques guarantee Duca di Dolle wines the maximum naturalness. Lying on the green hills of Rolle di Cison di Valmarino in the Marca Trevigiana, the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. production area, the Duca di Dolle estate has its roots in history. A monastic seat since the 16th century, and already then a centre of wine production, it now extends over 75 hectares of vineyards, woods, meadows and pastures. Strongly believing in the enhancement and protection of the enchanting territory of Rolle, FAI point for the protection of the landscape, as well as environmental sustainability, the property of the estate wanted to keep the area as uncontaminated as possible. An oasis of peace and nature, immersed in the silence of the hills, the Duca di Dolle vineyards, entirely owned, extend for about 12 hectares inside the Rolle Estate, plus another hectare in the Cartizze area, in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene. The cultivated varieties are those typical of the territory: Glera, Verdiso and Perera. Starting from the 2014 vintage, Duca di Dolle has developed an Internal Production Protocol, studied ad hoc to guarantee the greatest possible naturalness to its wines and, above all, an environmental management that respects the ecosystem and man. The Internal Protocol establishes a clear choice of transparency towards consumers, to whom it guarantees the maximum possible effort to obtain wines without residues or, in any case, with residues reduced to a minimum, thanks to avant-garde solutions that allow to improve, in addition to the conditions of the vines, also the environmental management. To do this the company has started a series of collaborations with Universities and Research Centres, Oenological Schools, oenologists and agronomists of clear fame, in order to reach an internal disciplinary that would guarantee, through experimental techniques and innovative technologies, the best care of the vineyard and at the same time the minimum residue of chemical substances in the wine and the environment.
